Welcome to our place
This is a place to slow down: a fire in the hearth, a coffee on the treetop terrace, and forest walks that start right at the door.
Personally, I love being in constant touch with nature: the broadleaf forest, cared for over centuries by its private owners, is a haven for biodiversity. You'll regularly spot pheasants with blazing golden-yellow plumage, deer just a few metres from the cottage and a host of rare birds.
Water is an integral part of the scenery: seven ponds are open to guests on the estate, and the Grand Large basin, linked by several canals, stands as its centrepiece.

The estate
280 hectares of lakes and forest
The cottage sits in the heart of the Domaine du Bois de Fouage in Antoing, 15 km south of Tournai: 280 hectares of lakes and forest, where people come first and foremost for the peace and quiet.
Paths start from the house, on foot or by bike, and link up with the RAVeL greenway network. The lakes mirror the trees, birdsong wakes you up, and it's not unusual to spot a roe deer at the edge of a field.
On site, guests can use the pétanque court, the mini-golf and the padel court. Just bring your own equipment.
Good to know: the domain's swimming pool and restaurants are currently not accessible. The house is fully equipped for cooking, and shops in Antoing and Tournai are close by.

Set your GPS to the domain's entrance barrier with the buttons above: they lead straight to the barrier, more reliably than the postal address.
At the barrier, enter the code e-mailed to you once your booking is confirmed. On the way out, it opens automatically.
Follow the domain's paths to the Chemin des Perdrix.
Stop in front of no. 11 Chemin des Perdrix to unload your luggage. The cottage key is in the key box next to the front door: its code is emailed to you along with the barrier code.
Then drive back towards the domain entrance and park your car (one per stay) in the guest car park, under the solar panels, before the barrier. Walk back to the cottage (750 m, about 10 minutes). The car park is marked « P » on the map.
The access card: heating and walking exits
You will find it on the table, with the welcome folder.
- Heating: when you come in, insert the card in the reader just opposite the front door, as in a hotel room. Then set each heater to the « sun » position.
- Walking exits: two pedestrian exits, « Le Grand Large » and « La Maison », let you set off on a walk straight from the domain. They are shown on the interactive map. Hold the access card to the reader to go out and come back in, at any time.
- When you leave, you must put the card back on the table, with the welcome folder.

Frequently asked questions
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in from 4 pm, check-out by 11 am. If you need a different time, drop me a line and I'll do my best.
How do I get into the domain?
The domain entrance is closed by a barrier with a code. The code is e-mailed to you once your booking is confirmed, and again 3 days before you arrive. On the way out, the barrier opens automatically.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, one dog is welcome (one per stay maximum), at no extra charge. It must be kept on a lead within the domain. Just tick “I'm bringing my dog” when you book.
Are the domain's pool and restaurants open?
Domain pool and restaurants: currently not accessible. The cottage kitchen is fully equipped, and shops in Antoing and Tournai are close by.
Is firewood provided?
Yes, firewood is provided for the wood fire in the living room.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival. Between 30 and 7 days before arrival, 50% of the stay remains due. Less than 7 days before arrival, the stay is non-refundable.
How can I pay?
Online with Bancontact, card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, or by bank transfer within 48 hours (with a QR code to pay from your banking app). The price shown is always the all-inclusive total.
Can we bring children?
Yes, children are welcome. The house sleeps up to 4 people, children and babies included. For little ones there is a baby bath and a changing table, but no cot or high chair. The second bedroom is an open mezzanine, reached by a staircase with a handrail but no door at the top, so it is not suitable for very young children left unsupervised.
